Carly Simon 'Flirts' With Autobiography Idea - Post Chronicle Posted: 02 Mar 2010 06:52 AM PST Carly Simon is refusing to let a biographer document her story - because she fears a book about her life would be "full of inaccuracies" like her former lover Warren Beatty's recent tome. The singer admits she was shocked when she read Peter Biskind's recent book about her ex-boyfriend - Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America - which included claims the actor had slept with more than 12,000 women. Simon insists she will never let a writer put pen to paper on the subject of her life - so she is planning to do it herself. She says, "I've been flirting with the idea of writing an autobiography because I was talking to (director) Mike Nichols about all these biographies coming out and he said I should never co-operate with them because look what they've done to Warren. That book is full of inaccuracies. I know exactly what I did every single day because I kept a daily diary from the age of seven until 1983 when I broke up with (ex-husband) James (Taylor)." Simon also believes working on her own book would be beneficial, because she finds writing therapeutic. She adds, "When I'm feeling anxious or depressed, I do find it helps to reach for a pen and paper." (c) WENN Five Filters featured article: Chilcot Inquiry.
